Water Conservation Workshop March 8, 2014 at Young Family Ranch
Water is our most precious resource, conserve every dropThe Trinity River Watershed Council will sponsor a workshop packed with water conservation tips to help you survive the current drought. Held from 10am to 2pm, the event combines demonstrations and presentations to help you save every precious drop. Pick up free samples & information, there will be prizes for lucky attendees as well!

Click here for a printable workshop flyer.

Learn how to save money on your water bill, stretch limited water resources and learn how to capture even more water through rainwater systems. Conserving water helps fish and other wildlife survive the drought--they need the same water resources we do.

Some of the topics to be covered at the workshop are:

  • Presentations on drought and the environment
  • How to garden or grow food with less water including info
on how to build a wicking bed
  • The on‐site rain barrel water collection system
  • Demonstrations on how to conduct a Water Audit for your home
  • Native grasses planted on‐site & receive free seed packets
  • Demonstration plants for drought conditions supplied by Trinity Nursery
  • Low flow demonstration trailer (showerheads, toilets, sinks)
  • and more...
