The Bear Creek Migration Barrier Modification Project is located on Branscomb Road in Mendocino County. This project, completed in 2001, opened access to over 0.75 miles of habitat for steelhead trout. The design shown above consists of the installation of baffles welded and cemented to the culvert bottom. This design has been approved by CA Fish and Game and will also be used in Trinity County on the Deadwood Road Migration Barrier Removal Project.
